About Lions Club Of Palasa Kasibugga

Lions Club of Palasa - Kasibugga Service Trust has been actively involved in social service activities for several decades. The organization was established with the aim of serving poor and needy people through humanitarian programmes and community development activities.

Dr. V. Kanthi Government ITI Hostel was generously donated by Dr. Kanithi Hemachalam and Smt. Kanithi Usha Rani, USA, with the noble objective of supporting poor and economically weaker students. The hostel has been providing accommodation facilities for students who come from rural and underprivileged backgrounds, helping them continue their education without financial burden.

The trust has been conducting various welfare programmes since the early years of its formation. During 1971–1972, several service activities were initiated for public welfare, including health awareness programmes, support for poor students, and social development campaigns.

In 1981, the organization expanded its charitable activities and strengthened its service programmes for the benefit of local communities. Later, in 2010, the trust further developed its activities by organizing large-scale public service programmes and community support initiatives.

Over the years, the Lions Club conducted blood donation camps, educational support programmes, medical camps, environmental awareness activities, and financial assistance for poor and deserving families. The organization also encouraged youth participation in social service activities.
